How do you know what's normal when it comes to hearing loss?
When you realized you couldn't hear conversations in a restaurant as well as you used to, what did you do? You ignored it. You laughed a lot, hoping you were laughing in the right places so nobody would notice. When you realized you didn't hear that ambulance behind you in traffic until it was right next to you, what did you do? You blamed it on having the radio turned up too loud. And you said the radio was turned up because it was just a great song. Hearing loss happens; it's natural. Denying it only makes it harder.
If you are here for a loved one, you'll experience what their loss sounds and feels like, so you can better understand why they don't always respond when you talk to them, or why they tell you to "stop mumbling!" If you're here for yourself, the videos will show you where you are now, and where you could be if you don't remedy the situation in a timely manner.
Start with the "Age 40" video to get a good sense of what you could hear, and then progress by the ages. Turn up your speakers and click PLAY.
