The Parts of a Hearing Instrument are Explained.

 

Microphone – converts sound into electricity.

 

Amplifier – makes the small electrical signal into a larger one.

 

Receiver – convert the amplified and modified electrical signal back into an acoustical output signal, this signal is sent down the ear canal.

 

Battery – the power supply.

 

Volume Control – adjusts the gain setting.

 

Switch – changes the programs.
